Paleo French Toast
Grain free, dairy free french toast?!!? Say it isn’t so. Well, it IS so! So good that is.
I worked hard to develop several recipes for paleo bread which I felt could embody the texture and flavor of some of our old favorites. In addition to those, I’ve also since launched Legit Bread Company where you can find both the ready to eat loaves and also mixes to bake up fresh yourself!
Whichever loaf you use, you’ll find this recipe definitely fits the bill and satisfies all the cravings for French toast without any of the ill side effects of the original version!

Paleo French Toast
Ingredients
Scale- 1 loaf of my grain free bread
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup flax milk
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
Instructions
- Beat eggs, milk, honey and vanilla
- Slice bread into 1/2 inch slices (thicker if you prefer
- Soak bread slices in egg mixture for a few minutes each
- Melt coconut oil in skillet over medium heat
- Once soaked, place into oiled skillet
- Cook on each side until browned
- Remove from oil and sprinkle with maple sugar or 100% maple syrup
